We made it my darlings! 52 weeks of photographs. 52 weeks of this crazy city. 52 weeks of another year in the life. It's amazing how time flies. It's even more amazing that I finished this project! It was inspiring, labor-intensive, nostalgic...and absolutely totally fun. I'm going to put together a coffee table book of all the photos...if you can guess which was my favorite photo of the year, I'll send you a copy of the book. 52 Weeks: Week 38, Moon Cakes

The Mid-Autumn Festival (which our family usually calls the Moon Festival) is always around my Mom's birthday. Part of her Chinese name is actually from the name given to the Moon Goddess. It's been tradition that every year we give her moon cakes since they're only available this time of year (mid to late September). I love these things. Filled with lotus seed paste and sometimes having one to four salted duck egg yolks. Delish.
