last night hubby and i met up with susan and her husband robert at anchor and hope for drinks and a real gastropub night. robert "convinced" us to get the lamb's neck which was listed on the menu for four people. i can eat anything and hubby usually never says no to food, so we took the challenge. susan doesn't like lamb so she opted for the full crab with a side of mayo instead.
little did the menu-writers know that two big hungry guys can finish between the two of them (with a little help from me) a lamb's neck for four. it was absolutely delicious. it melted off the bone and came with the most buttery and creamy potato gratin i've ever had. i can't wait to go back...
