Affordable Balloon Photography Prints

Pin It now! I've been trying to find some art to go over our console in the living room.  Right now it's a couple of frames with decorative paper.  It's ok, but a little too small - it would be better if the scale of the piece was correct.  I've been struggling with what I want exactly, but I think I might have found something that I might like for more than two seconds.  I saw this photo print by Youngna Park in 20x200, but a larger print is $1,200!

WAY out of budget.  I found a few alternatives from Art.com though that might just work.  My favorite so far is the first one, but which one do you like best?

Thank You, Please Come Again

Pin It now! I've had a few really good Etsy finds lately.  My favorite are the prints in the kitchen and entryway.  Michael thought of a funny saying from the Simpsons, which is perfect as a goodbye next to the front door, and Bird Ave was wonderful at customizing color and text.  She even sent different proofs before making the actual prints.  I chose Brooklyn prints (of course), but the shop has a huge selection of other cities and towns.  I snatched up the water tower print as soon as I saw it.  I'm loving the combination of colors, especially with our new console table.

So entryway....check.  My next part of the house that I want to reconsider is the living room console table and art.  It's lacking personality and as Vern Yip said in a recent episode of Design Star, "It looks like the accessories are from a boring discount store" (or something to that effect).  Ouch, time for a redesign.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Williams Sonoma Designer Marketplace Event

Pin It now! Tonight the French invited K and I to a Williams Sonoma Designer Marketplace event.  We enjoyed a private tour of the Columbus Circle store's latest designs and sipped on champagne and snacked on hors d'oeurves.  The fabrics and room set-ups were really inspiring.  I especially loved the textured wallpaper (you can see a little of it in the picture below) and a pair of beautiful floral gilcee prints that were way out of my price range ($895 each!  $1595 for the pair!).

Our First Place: The Pouf

Pin It now! Our first contact with a pouf was at cb2.  It's the perfect foot rest, but at $79 a pop, it hardly fits into our budget.  Isn't it pretty though...the chunky knit is really popular now and the colors (in grey and blood orange) are fabulous.

What about these beauties from a furniture in Williamsburg?  These caught hubby's eye, but he walked away when he saw the $400 price tag.  Keep backing up hon, far away!  Again, very pretty...

At the end, hubby found the perfect pouf (this story sounds a little like Goldilocks) from Etsy seller aletafae.  (Check out the other items in her store!)  It's perfect with our red corduroy couch and for half the price, we have a new addition to our den.

More Grey Inspiration

Pin It now! Besides obsessing over a grey couch, I really want a beautiful living room with grey walls.  I think it would be so sophisticated.  Maybe grey patterned wallpaper in the bedroom...I'm in love with this print from Jocelyn Warner.
